How fast can I get a quote?+
Most residential quotes are returned within two business days after we have measurements or photos. Commercial storefronts and office fronts may need a site visit before pricing is final.
Do you charge for measurements?+
In-area project measurements are free for active quotes. Complex commercial surveys or insurance documentation may be quoted separately before we come out.
Can you replace only the glass and keep my frame?+
Often, yes. Foggy insulated units, cracked panes, and failed seals can usually be replaced without removing a good frame.
Do double-pane windows help with outside noise?+
Yes, double-pane insulated glass can reduce street, lawn equipment, and neighborhood noise compared with older single-pane glass. For busy roads or extra-sensitive rooms, glass thickness, air space, laminated glass, and the frame seal all matter, so we look at the whole opening before recommending an option.
Why are my double-pane windows foggy between the glass?+
Fog or moisture between panes usually means the insulated glass unit has a failed seal. The frame may still be usable, but the sealed glass unit typically needs to be replaced because cleaning the inside surface will not solve condensation trapped between the panes.
What Georgia weather issues are hardest on windows?+
North Georgia heat, humidity, spring pollen, heavy rain, and sudden temperature swings can expose weak seals and aging glazing. If a window feels drafty, shows fog between panes, or lets water collect near the sash after storms, it is worth checking before the frame or surrounding trim takes damage.
Should I repair a window or replace the whole window?+
If the frame is solid and the problem is failed insulated glass, a cracked pane, or loose glazing, glass repair may be enough. Full replacement makes more sense when the frame is rotted, warped, leaking around the unit, or no longer performs the way the room needs.
When is tempered glass required?+
Tempered safety glass is commonly required near doors, tubs, showers, stairs, railings, and other impact-prone locations. We review the opening and intended use before ordering glass so the final panel fits the safety requirement.
When should shower glass be measured?+
Frameless shower glass should be templated after tile, curb, thresholds, and surrounding surfaces are complete. That gives the finished glass the best fit and avoids guessing before the room is final.
Do you handle emergency board-up?+
Yes, when a crew is available. We can secure broken storefronts, doors, and windows after break-ins or storms, then follow with measurements for permanent replacement glass.
Can you help document broken storefront glass for insurance?+
We can document visible damage, board-up work, opening measurements, and replacement scope so owners, property managers, and insurers have clearer project details. Coverage decisions still come from the insurance carrier.
